On 7 March 2026, Heritage International Xperiential School, Pune hosted Dare to Care – Choosing to Lead with Empathy, a Women’s Day celebration that brought together inspiring women leaders for meaningful conversations around leadership, empathy, resilience and change.
The Conclave explored a powerful idea: what if empathy was one of the boldest leadership choices we could make?
The Fireside Chat, “Empathy as a Vehicle for Leading Change,” examined how leaders navigated transformation while balancing compassion with accountability. The conversation explored the role of empathy in decision-making, acknowledging fear and uncertainty, building trust and creating meaningful change without losing momentum.
The Panel Discussion, “Stories that Shape the Future of Leadership,” brought together diverse perspectives on the evolution of leadership, risk and resilience, vulnerability and authenticity, and mentorship and legacy. Through personal stories and honest reflections, the panellists shared experiences that highlighted the courage it took to take risks, learn from setbacks, embrace vulnerability and create opportunities for others to grow.
More than a celebration, Dare to Care became a space for reflection, connection and shared learning. It challenged the traditional idea that strength and sensitivity were opposites, reminding us that vulnerability could be courage, empathy could be strength, and care could be a catalyst for meaningful change.
At HIXS Pune, we believed that some of the most meaningful learning happened through conversations and experiences beyond the classroom. Dare to Care brought this belief to life by creating a space where our community could listen, reflect and engage with stories of women who had shaped their own journeys and those around them.
The Conclave left us with a simple but powerful reminder:
Leadership was not about power. It was about presence. And meaningful change began with care.
